Home to 3 galleries, a ceramic studio, and outdoor classroom. Vita offers a wide range of programs and events, including exhibitions, workshops, and classes, that are designed to engage and inspire people of all ages and backgrounds. Through a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, the Vita Art Center plays a vital role in the cultural fabric of the city and serves as a hub for artists and art enthusiasts alike. VITA ART STUDIOS

VITA ART STUDIOS is an art community for working artists located at 50 West Main Street adjacent to Vita Art Center. Our goal is to not only provide workspace but a community where artists can gather, collaborate, and share their creativity. We are dedicated to cultivating a vibrant environment for working artists that fosters a comprehensive and dynamic artistic community. Now accepting applications

EXHIBITS

At the core of every Vita Art Center exhibit is our commitment to bring museum quality contemporary art to Ventura. Past exhibitions have included the art of locally and internationally acclaimed artists.

EDUCATION

Whether you are looking for a creative outlet or are a working artist, Vita Art Center has classes for all levels of experience and ages. We provide high-quality enrichment experiences in the visual arts for children, teens, and adults. Professional artists and instructors teach classes in a wide variety of media and subject-matter, with plenty of classes to choose from. To ensure personalized instruction, we limit enrollment to 10-15 students per course.

IN SCHOOL PROGRAMS

We are committed to supporting our local schools by providing arts programs to K-12 students. Our Schools visual arts programs integrate visual arts with core CA education standards to help children succeed in school.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS

The Vita Art Center offers professional development programs for educators seeking to increase their knowledge of the arts, and to improve their skills so they can provide quality arts education for students.

OUTREACH

Over 2,000 students are served annually thru classes at Vita Art Center and Ventura schools. We are committed to serving all of our community. Families with financial needs receive free or reduced tuition to Summer programs, Teen art programs, and after school classes.
